A special load for Arcese España to help dealing with the Coronavirus emergency

Arcese in Spain has urgently managed the transport of medical oxygen tanks to be installed in hospitals in Madrid and Barcelona

Last Wednesday 25th March, Arcese España S.A.U., was tasked by its customer Air Liquide Healthcare España S.L. to organise an exceptional convoy to transport 3 large tanks to provide service to various hospitals due to the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 virus.
The exceptional convoy composed of 3 vehicles prepared for the special transport of heavy goods, left the facilities of the manufacturer in Ennery, in the North of France, with the destionation to two different technical centres that the company Air Liquide has in Cabanillas de Campo (Guadalajara) and Martorell (Barcelona). Each tank measured 8.8 meters in width and 3.3 meters in diameter for a total weight of about 13 tons, for specific oversize load semitrailers were used, a specific type used in exceptional transport for managing heavy loads.

“We are proud and honoured to have contributed to this difficult situation and to have quickly responded to our customers request. It is a situation that we did not wish to find ourselves in, but one that confirms the importance of transport and logistics in our society” comments José Luis Iranzo, - CEO of Arcese España S.A.U. – and he concludes “We granted an urgent and extremely delicate service considering all the operational problems we are experiencing these days. A total of 1800 kilometres have been covered in just 30 hours, and we would like to thank our transport partner Jano Cargo S.L. from Valladolid for their collaboration, the company was in charge of getting all the permits and the preparation and adaptation of the vehicles for this exceptional transport.”
