An innovation that will enable the Group to enhance its integrated logistics services in the territory
Since May, the new structure has been operational to meet the growing demand for integrated logistics services in the country and ensure that the service for customers and partners keeps pace with the expansion of the Group's business in Romania.
The property developed by WDP (Warehouses De Pauw) boasts over 4000 sqm, 6 loading/unloading bays and a drive/in bay. Constructed to ensure low energy consumption, the building is EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certified, confirming its low carbon footprint even during construction.
The class A facility will complement the warehouse already present within the Park Logistic Nervia in the Apahida area, the industrial heart of Romania, and in particular, will be dedicated to the handling of food products thanks to the UNI EN ISO 22000:2018 HACCP certification.
From the capacity point of view, state-of-the-art storage and handling systems allow the Group to offer ad-hoc, high added-value solutions and to handle a wide variety of pallet sizes while at the same time reorganising the layout of the storage and flow system, thus responding flexibly and responsively to customer requirements.
"Our strategy aims at further expanding the range of services offered throughout the country as well as continuing to guarantee our customers speed, quality and reliability, requirements that have always been essential for Arcese," says Marius Buturoaga, Country Manager of Arcese Romania, who continues: "The aim for the future is to enter new sectors such as automotive, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and home delivery. Over the past ten years, we have invested significantly in the country by creating new jobs and a safe, modern and positive working environment. Still, above all, we have created a close-knit team of logistics professionals. "
