Arcese confirms its accreditation as an internationally certified partner with the renewal of its ISO 22000 certification
For a number of years now, the Arcese Group has decided to undertake certification processes that guarantee compliance with quality and sustainability parameters in company processes, in an objective and verifiable way. Therefore. this enables the Arcese Group to maintain operational excellence and reliability of the services offered to customers.
The recent renewal of ISO 22000:2005 certification for Arcese Romania is therefore part of this strategic decision to continually update. Thanks to this achievement, in fact, Arcese Romania confirms its national and international accreditation as a certified partner for the provision of services in the large-scale retail trade and agri-food sector.
ISO 22000 is the fundamental standard for safety management systems in the agri-food sector and is implemented on a voluntary basis. This standard therefore enables all companies involved in the supply chain, directly or indirectly, to accurately identify risks and manage them effectively.
And the Group's subsidiary in Romania is among them, thanks to the positive outcome of the audit carried out in February at the Cluj-Napoca branch by URS.
"We are delighted with the result - the renewal of ISO 22000:2005 for the second consecutive year is very important for our customers because it certifies the procedures we follow in handling food products. But that's not all - we are aiming to further develop our activities in the large-scale retail sector, a sector where a functional and high-quality service is required to ensure that products arrive on the shelf on time," commented Marius Buturoaga, Country Manager of Arcese in Romania, who added: "Renewing the certification is also a prerequisite for us to continue our collaboration with the state programme 'Cornul şi laptele', through which the Romanian state offers breakfast to all children at school (milk and croissants). We are proud to say that in more than 357 schools and nurseries in the towns and cities of Cluj County, breakfast is delivered to our children by Arcese!
The Group's presence in Romania dates back to 2011, when the first branch was opened in Cluj-Napoca, followed by the one in Bucharest in 2017. It represents important and strategic access to the main corridors of Western Europe.
