Increasingly sustainable Arcese, receives award from Michelin

An important recognition obtained for optimising performance through the use of regrooved and retreaded tyres

Arcese's sustainability strategy is gaining increasing recognition as it receives a certificate for sustainable tyre management from the French multinational Michelin, consolidated partner of the Group. Since 2015 Arcese and Michelin have begun to collaborate actively with the aim of optimizing the use and consumption of the fleet's tires. In fact, we share important business levers with the French multinational, such as attention to the environment.

During the "A Green Choice" event that took place online on February 10, Arcese obtained an important recognition for optimising performance through the use of regrooved and retreaded tyres in 2021.
The Arcese fleet's tyres are maintained by Michelin, who provide a program which extend their life.

Through a regrooving and retreading system it is possible to extend the life of the tire by limiting the consumption of raw material. Furthermore, when properly regrooves, rolling resistance can be reduced, thus reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

According to internal assessments carried out by a dedicated technical team at Michelin, it has been estimated that Arcese will save up to 976.73 tonnes of CO2 and 361.80 tonnes of raw materials in 2021.

An acknowledgment that is part of the ever-wider project of sharing initiatives in the field of environmental sustainability with our suppliers and customers in order to raise awareness and disseminate best practices throughout the supply chain.
