Ventana Serra awarded for logistic efficiency in the automotive sector

Ventana Serra Brazil has been awarded the best carrier in the automotive sector at the latest edition of Piel

An important award for Arcese Group: a strong experience in the sector, coupled with process and service excellence, have resulted in Ventana Serra Brazil being awarded as best carrier in the automotive sector at the latest edition of Piel, north eastern region of Brazil (Prêmio Infraero Eficiencia de Logística).

At Piel event, now in its third edition, the best results recorded by 7 cargo terminals (Teca) were awarded, located at the airports of: Recife and Petrolina (PE), Salvador (BA), Fortaleza (CE), Maceió (AL), Joao Pessoa (PB) and Teresina (PI).

The initiative is inspired by the intention to recognise and promote the work of importers, carriers and hauliers, whose business keeps the country's economy on the move. The aim is to encourage them to improve their performance, delivery times and handling processes. Between April 2015 and March 2016, the 7 Tecas handles 98,000 tons of goods.

During the latest edition, 7 segments (automotive, health & medical devices, pharmaceutical, chemical, textile, technological, metal working) and five main categories (importer, exporter, carrier, broker and haulier), were identified. Goods handling processes are assessed based on a logistic efficiency classification published on a monthly basis on the Infraero Cargo web site.

Every day and in all our activities we are committed to constantly guaranteeing the maximum quality of our services. We are proud of this award which inspires us to work with even greater commitment in order to satisfy our clients' needs" explains Andrea Monticelli, Managing Director of Ventana Serra do Brasil.

The President of Ventana Serra do Brasil Paolo Casadonte also agrees, and in commenting this achievement, mentions the names of all those who contributed towards making it possible. “With the direction of Claudia Almeida – Operative Director – and Cristiane Lopes – Recife Branch Manager – efficiency in shipment processes has been recognised and awarded, even by public bodies. This is proof of our commitment to constant renewal, always reaching out and beyond."

The award ceremony was held on 25th August in Recife and was attended by numerous representatives of Brazil's economic and political institutes, as well as the directors and coordinators of all airports involved.
