A pioneering, multi-modal transport solution for the automotive industry in South America, providing the highest levels of efficiency and sustainability
Ventana Serra do Brasil, in cooperation with leading logistics and intermodal operators in South America, has recently developed a multi-modal solution, in Brazil for the client CNH Industrial: an Italian-American multinational corporation operating in the parts sector, and the commercial, industrial and agricultural machinery sector.
A positively pioneering solution in South America in terms of road/rail container transportation in the automotive sector: until now, CNH Industrial semi-finished goods were being transported to the automotive plants of destination only using road transport.
Thanks to the partnership with Ventana Serra, the client was able to benefit from an efficient and sustainable inter-modal transportation solution: the goods, departing from the port of Rio de Janeiro, pass through the Sete Lagoas terminal to then be delivered to the local CNH Industrial premises. There are countless advantages to this service; of particular note are the guaranteed weekly departures and a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions in comparison to road-only solutions.
