Arcese Group is proud to present the Sumba Project: an initiative born out of a partnership with The Sumba Foundation, a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization active on the island of Sumba, which provides three scholarships for young Sumbanese women to pursue their education.
The goal of the project and the shared commitment of Arcese and The Sumba Foundation is to promote social change through culture, while respecting local traditions, ensuring equal opportunities for new generations and encouraging more equitable and inclusive participation in society.
With this project, Arcese has decided to support the efforts of The Sumba Foundation, which, since its founding in 2001, has been working to improve the quality of life of the island's inhabitants through targeted programs that aim to address challenges related to education, as well as drinking water shortages, poor sanitation and lack of facilities, the spread of malaria and malnutrition.
