Arcese Group, a leading logistics operator in Italy, and Cartiere del Garda, a historic industrial company based in Riva del Garda (TN), are taking a new step towards environmental sustainability and logistics innovation together thanks to their choice of the eActros 600, the new 100% electric vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. The truck will be used by Arcese to transport goods to and from Cartiere del Garda's warehouses. This important initiative is the result of the synergy between Daimler Truck Italia, Arcese, Trivellato Industriali, and Cartiere del Garda: four companies of excellence in their respective sectors which, united by a common vision of a more responsible future, are actively contributing to the transformation of road transport. As a testament to the solidity and history of the relationship between the partners, during the delivery event held at Arcese's historic headquarters in Arco, the new eActros 600 was displayed alongside the first vehicle used by Arcese for Cartiere del Garda, both customized with the same livery. A symbolic image that tells the story of their shared journey and the evolution of transport towards increasingly cutting-edge, zero-emission solutions.

The eActros is a further step forward in this direction together with Cartiere del Garda, with whom we have been making responsible choices for years—from intermodal solutions (now accounting for around 30% of journeys) to HVO vehicles and the installation of photovoltaic panels in our warehouses, made possible thanks to an investment co-financed by the European Union through the European Funds of the Provincia autonoma di Trento. The renewable energy produced by the panels is now used for production activities and will also be used to recharge the eActros itself. This is another concrete example of the importance of working together to generate shared value in favor of sustainability."

With this in mind, the introduction of the eActros as a shuttle will enable us to carry out 14% of daily transfers between our plant and the Arcese logistics hub with zero impact, with a tangible benefit for the environment and our local area.”
