For the sixth year running, Arcese will sponsor Europe's most prestigious Granfondo, now in its 34th year
There are just a few weeks to go until the start of the 34th edition of the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel, which after the stop in 2020 will return on 4th July 2021. For the sixth consecutive year, Arcese will be a sponsor and partner of the event which has now become an unmissable event for all lovers of two wheels and, as such, will contribute with dedicated initiatives during the three-day event.
Passion for sport and concern for the environment are the values that unite the Maratona and Arcese. The event, in fact, is a Green Event as it is carried out according to precise and certified sustainability criteria. Sustainability, which Arcese has always been committed to sustainability through numerous projects and activities.
The main ones concern the updating of its fleet: modern and technologically advanced as well as consisting of electric and alternative fuel vehicles. This commitment is also reflected in a series of initiatives aimed at confirming the Group's willingness to support events and activities that encourage eco-sustainability, involving employees, customers, and suppliers. And the consolidated partnership with the Maratona dles Dolomites Dolomites - Enel is further confirmation of this.
The 2021 edition will also have an important focus on safety. The organisational machine is working tirelessly with the South Tyrolean Health Authority and the Italian Cycling Federation to ensure maximum safety for participants, volunteers and organisers, agents and the local population during what promises to be a real pedal party.
"It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome the confirmation of this 2021 edition, which after last year's forced stoppage will see us even more eager to live the spirit of the event along the routes of the Dolomites," says Matteo Arcese - Executive President of the Group, who continues: "Once again we will be at the side of the Maratona in the dual role of proud partner and participant: both I and Team Arcese will actively participate in the event together with thousands of enthusiasts!".
The same enthusiasm is shared by Claudio Canins, Managing Director of the Marathon, who says: "After the cancellation in 2020, we want to make our contribution to the cycling movement starting up again with an event based on safety and sustainability, and we are proud to have Arcese by our side on this journey.”
