The new branch in Bucharest, opened since the beginning of 2017, strengthens the presence of the Group in Eastern Europe
Arcese recently opened a new branch in Romania, which joins the one in Cluj-Napoca, operational since 2011.
The new facility, built to ensure low energy consumption, features high-profile features: more than 7000 square meters, 9 loading/unloading bays in addition to two drive/in bays and a useful height of 11.5 meters. The new class A warehouse is used to receive, sort and forward generic products, including packaged food. In addition to the standard warehouse services, value-added service (VAS) activities will be offered including packing, co-packing, pallet consolidation, picking, and control service.
In addition to a large operational area, particular attention has been given to security by installing a complex 24/7 video surveillance system and ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) sprinkler fire protection systems. Arcese's focus on safety stretches along the supply chain, as shown by the implementation of an integrated system for the management of UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 requirements and the achievement of the relevant certification for the new site.
"The inauguration of the new branch in Bucharest marks a paramount step in the development of the business on Romanian soil; it is a milestone of which we are very proud" claims Marius Buturoaga, the Arcese Country Manager in Romania. He continues by saying: "After the Cluj-Napoca branch, this new site is a further step forward in strengthening the leadership of our Group in a growing market such as Eastern Europe. In fact, Bucharest welcomes leading companies operating in the automotive, fashion, food and industrial sectors. Precisely because of this strategic location, the new centre remains a focal point that reinforces the Group's distribution network in Europe."
