Arcese Group and partner SAIC Motor Italy inaugurate the MG brand spare parts warehouse in Tortona, in the province of Alessandria. In a 3,000-square-meter space within the Arcese facility, organized with shelving and floor space, spare parts destined for the brand's Italian customers are in fact stored there. The location of the facility, which was decisive in the choice of the solution offered by Arcese, is particularly strategic: a well-served vehicular junction between the cities of Turin and Milan, a short distance from the port of Genoa for receiving containers by sea and from Malpensa for air logistics.
The new warehouse is designed to extremely efficiently meet the demands of MG's approximately 60,000 Italian brand customers and offer a superior level of service. The >95% fill-rate and monthly inbound capacity of 40 containers and outbound capacity of more than 20,000 spare parts will enable MG to significantly reduce delivery times. In fact, spare parts will reach the MG Store network within 24 to 48 hours depending on location.
In addition, in line with the two partners' joint commitment to sustainability, the warehouse is equipped with energy-saving technologies and uses state-of-the-art transportation means to curb the impact of atmospheric emissions.
